Rising Tide

Since I have alluded (lightly) to the recent loss of teeth, I feel I should clarify (actually, it is only for the benefit of you, the readers, that I am clarifying. Feel free to pat yourselves on the back)..allow me to elaborate:

I visited an old stomping ground of my brother's this night: the Atlas. With my employment in the Flint area, and housing readily available from my parents, I tend to spend the majority of my time at home. This can be okay; I have mountains of work to finish before my sojourn across the ocean, so the opportunity to do it without worry of bed nor food is extremely beneficial; however, sometimes I need to GET OUT!!! And the coffee shops close at 8 (oh, the humanity!).

The Atlas, however, is a 24-hour coney island (somewhat of a regional greasy spoon). I was able to enjoy a never ending cup of coffee while I changed my Sonata for Euphonium and Piano to Sonata for Unaccompanied Euphonium. I also ordered mozzarella sticks (Eastmanites will know the obsession). However, with each bite, I was reminded that solid food was still just beyond my grasp; yes, it was difficult to eat a mushy plate of cheese with the added tension of lost wisdom teeth.

For the second time in my life, I had more useless artifacts from my ancestors removed, showing that if we were indeed created in God's image, he certainly added some parts that weren't needed; and I've never considered wisdom teeth aesthetic accessories.

So, sorry, no gang fight, only an hour in an OS office and a week of pain. The joy.

Lunacy

Well, as my brother commented on the last post:
If you spend all of your time worrying about writing life down, you won't have enough of it to write about.

To which I can certainly agree, although I must concede that I certainly have had my share of writing material these past couple months. Secondly, the intent of this blog is more than just a litany of the events; it serves to analyze, dispute, and combine the sensual (pertaining to the senses, nothing kinky about this blog!) experiences into a spiritual journey through which I can understand life and relate it to my friends (all of you).

However, sometime during this process, something went terribly wrong; the posts weren't written! I missed the opportunity to tell about my NYC experience, which was so much about the discovery and splendor of space, as well as my current exploits, like my sudden visual comparison to Luke Wilson (due to the loss of several teeth) - ah, the boundaries of time are endless! Memory plagues with the saccharine promise of endorphins, whereas as fear paralyzes with the threat of inadequacy. It is true lunacy indeed!

Yeah, it's been awhile

Dear Readers (or, at this point, scanners),

Thank you for allowing me to take a two month hiatus. It certainly hasn't been a lack of personal events that caused this, nor a disinterest in public affairs. I feel it has been an accumulation of timidity as well as the overwhelming task of catching up (which, as we all know, snowballs from day to day). In any event, I am back, and committed to making this a daily blog. (or nightly, as the posts will indicate)

Expect some slight changes: new quotes, "to-do" lists, links, et. al.

I certainly hope this humble apology finds everyone in pleasant circumstances, as well as in their graces.

Welcome to Part II

Love,

Cody
